Payment methods

Payment happens with the retailer, not with us

Elsa's Books doesn't process payments. When you click "Ebook" or "Paperback" on a book, you'll pay directly on that retailer's site, using whatever methods they support.

What's typically accepted

Common payment options across our retailers

CARD

PP
PayPal

Apple Pay / Google Pay

Retailer gift cards
Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Bookshop.org gift cards work at checkout on their own sites
🔒 Because payment happens on the retailer's own site, your card details are never seen, collected, or stored by Elsa's Books.

Encrypted at the source

Amazon, Bookshop.org, Kobo, and Barnes & Noble each run PCI-compliant, encrypted checkouts.

Receipts come from them

Your order confirmation and receipt will arrive from the retailer, not from Elsa's Books.

Refunds go through them too

Billing disputes or refund requests are handled under each retailer's own policy.

Billing questions

Why doesn't Elsa's Books charge me directly?

We're a curation site — we help you find the right book and format, then send you to a trusted retailer to complete the purchase and handle delivery.

Which retailer will I actually pay?

It depends on the book and format — each "Ebook" or "Paperback" button on a listing names the retailer it leads to before you click.

Do you get a commission?

Some retailer links may be affiliate links that earn us a small commission at no extra cost to you — this never affects the price you pay.
